He Never Left You

Scripture

"Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."-Matthew 28:20

There are many distractions along our journey with the Lord. When daily challenges rise up, it becomes easy to focus only on what is right in front of us and forget that God is working on a much bigger picture. He is continually nurturing, maturing, and shaping us through every situation, trial, and encounter we face.

Pause and reflect: What challenge has been taking most of your attention this week?

We cannot allow the weight of our circumstances—no matter how difficult—to blind us to His presence in our lives. When we let this truth steady our hearts, our perspective begins to shift. We start to look beyond the moment and recognize that His hand has been guiding us all along.

Take a moment: Think of one moment recently when you sensed God’s guidance, even if it was subtle.

This doesn’t minimize the reality of our struggles; instead, it reminds us that we never walk through them alone. God gently reassures us of this promise: “For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” (Isaiah 41:13) He has never left us, and He never will. He has already promised to stay with us to the very end. That means that even in the hardest moments of your journey, He is present—shaping your growth, strengthening your faith, and drawing you closer to Him.

Journaling prompt: Where do you see God strengthening you right now? Write one sentence about it.

It’s time, Beloved, to pay attention to how our God moves. He does not hide Himself from us. He walks beside us—guiding, helping, and loving us toward victory. By now we know that nothing we face ever catches Him off guard. As we navigate the cares of life, we must learn to recognize His presence in everything—in every encounter and every situation. Psalm 139:10 reminds us of this steady truth: “Even there His hand shall lead us, and His right hand shall hold us.”

Look around your day: Where do you see His hand leading you today? Identify one place, one person, or one moment where His presence is evident.

Beloved, in His love and graciousness, the Lord reminds you that you have never been removed from His hand. He knows how to strengthen your heart and restore your confidence in His unwavering faithfulness. Even when the path before you feels like the valley of the shadow of death, you do not have to fear. His Word declares, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you.” (Isaiah 41:10)His steady, abiding presence goes with you as you walk out your purpose. His authority will uphold you from now until the end of the age. As you continue your journey, learn to look for His greater plan unfolding around you. Give attention to the situations you face, but do not allow them to overwhelm you to the point that your faith is shaken.

Pray this quietly: “Lord, open my eyes to see Your hand in every part of my journey. Help me trust Your presence more than my circumstances.”
