Scripture
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. -Philippians 1:6
Beloved, there are moments on this journey of faith when you must pause and reflect on how far God has brought you. If you’ve been walking with Christ for a while, you’ve likely noticed that some seasons stretch you more than others. You’ve been in the middle of a refining process, and the Spirit of God has been transforming you from the inside out. That transformation has required your steady participation and your trust in the One who saved you. Many believers have been stepping out of their comfort zones, confronting painful parts of their past, and pushing through self‑doubt and fear. Others have endured dry seasons where God feels distant and prayer feels heavy. Yet even with all the spiritual, emotional, and external challenges, you have continued to move forward. Give thanks to our God, who has carried you through every hill and valley.
Looking back on how far you’ve come strengthens your trust in the Father. It helps you evaluate your spiritual growth and, when necessary, realign yourself with God’s path. This isn’t a moment for regret or self‑condemnation—yes, we have an adversary who tries to pull us off course, but rejoice in knowing that God’s plan already accounts for every detour and delay. Celebrate the progress you’ve made, repent where needed, and keep moving forward. Reflecting on your journey cultivates a heart of gratitude. When we’re in the middle of challenges, we often focus so intensely on what’s in front of us that we forget to thank God for what He’s already brought us through. Though God desires that we show gratitude in every situation, you may still be growing in that area. So be intentional: pause, look back at where He’s carried you, and praise Him for the journey.
Celebrate today, Beloved! With the Lord, you’ve been overcoming, moving mountains, walking victoriously through the valley of the shadow of death, forgiving, loving well, praying more, studying more, and surrendering more deeply to Him. Look at how far you’ve come! Heaven rejoices with you because you are no longer where you started. Remember: in all things give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Be encouraged by the progress God has produced in you. You’ve stepped out in faith, grown in boldness, and increased your devotion to Him. You are right on track.
Prayer
Father, we're so grateful for this journey with you! We pray for the courage and strength to continue to end. In Jesus' name. Amen
