Scripture
God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? -Numbers 23:19
Has God spoken something to your spirit, and you're waiting for it to come to pass? Has He made a promise to you and you're waiting on it? If He said, it will happen. God doesn't change His mind, and He doesn't mix His words. If He spoke something over your life or has given you a promise, it has already happened before the foundation of the world. It was already in His plan. Because He is the author and creator of all things, He has foreknowledge that we don't possess. If this is the case, then it doesn't make sense for Him to lie or to go back on His word. When He speaks, He speaks from eternity, from a place of unchanging perpetual now. So, what He says is not bound by circumstance or any restraints of this world.
His knowledge of us is perfect, and He knows about all of the challenges that we'll face in this life. He knows what will attempt to come against the promise He's given us, but He is not moved because He is sovereign. That promise has already come to pass, even though we've not seen the manifestation of it yet. His promises are unbreakable despite the obstacles we face. Because His character is so consistent, the promises He's made to us are secure. They will happen.
So, Beloved, whatever He has said to you, let your response be 'Amen'. Your 'Amen' echoes Christ's faithfulness and signifies that you believe in every word He's spoken to you. It signifies your complete trust and agreement with God's word over your life. Your 'Amen' moves you from passively waiting on Him to come through to active faith in Him. Be encouraged today, Beloved. If He said it, it will happen.
Prayer
Father, we thank you for your promises. We believe every word that you've spoken over us and our response is Amen.
