What Do You See?

Scripture

"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal" -2 Corinthians 4:18

What do you do when it appears the answer to your prayer is delayed or worse, unanswered? There are no signs of the answer. In fact from what you see, the opposite of what you prayed for is happening. First, ensure that the prayer is aligned with the will of God for your life. Then, lean further into what the scriptures say about your situation and stand on them. Finally, ask the Holy Spirit to train your eye to stop looking at the situation and fix your eyes on spiritual realities.

You must be sure that what you pray for is aligned with God's will for your life. Many believers ask for good things for their lives, and by the world's standard, these are noble things to pray for. However, if they don't align with God's will for your life, the prayer will not be answered. However, if your prayers are aligned, stand on the Word concerning your situation and confess them aloud. Consider that you're being stretched to build your faith. Remember, faith is the substance hoped for, evidence of things unseen. (Hebrews 11:1). Stop looking at what is seen because it may look contrary to the Word spoken. This is when the opportunity for discouragement arises. Instead, fix your eyes on spiritual realities rather than the temporary circumstances around you. When you fix your eyes on spiritual realities, you're fixing your eyes on God's promise concerning your situation.

Beloved, your answer is in the spirit, yet to be manifested. So why would you put your focus on the natural, where your answer doesn't exist? Actively direct your attention and thoughts towards spiritual, invisible realities, rather than physical, visible circumstances. You must be intentional in doing this for every situation until it becomes an automatic response. God will use every opportunity you face for your good, whether it's spiritual growth or increase in faith. Consider that in your situation, God is training your spiritual senses. Whatever you've prayed for today, if it's aligned with God's will, fix your eyes on the unseen work and promises of God. You'll be able to face anything that comes your way. Stand firm. Hold fast. Look to the unseen.

Prayer

Father we fix our eyes on the unseen instead of the temporary situations we find ourselves in. We look to your promises and stand on your Word as we face circumstances in our lives. In Jesus' name. Amen
