Scripture
"God has prescribed the right way to live: obeying his laws with all our hearts. How I long for my life to bring you glory as I follow each and every one of your holy precepts!" -Psalm 119:4-5
There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death (Proverbs 14:12). The way of the Lord leads to life. We should rejoice in the fact that God has given us divine instructions on how to live our lives through His Word. He has charged us to keep His commandments carefully. We don't have to figure out how to live right before Him; He shows how. So, the posture of our heart should be to please Him. Because of His faithfulness and loving nature, we are motivated to be obedient. His lovingkindness towards us activates a longing for our actions to be consistently righteous. Our way of life should reflect His laws.
Beloved, these verses were sentiments of a heart that had a deep-seated desire to be righteous in the eyes of God. This kind of desire is formed from intimacy with the Father. The deeper our relationship with Him, the deeper our desire to please Him. When we are intimately connected with Him, we cease doing things to gain favor. Instead, our obedience stems from a place of love and deep reverence. It comes from a place of revelation of His goodness and trust in His voice.
The inner transformation will produce fruit on the outside. In this kind of relationship with the Father, we will purposefully align our outward behavior to reflect our inner commitment to God's word. Those around us will observe the transformation in our lives. Ultimately, we will live in a state of consistent and unwavering obedience to Him. Our longing to bring glory to Him will be manifested. Let us rejoice today, He's laid out the path to His heart.
Prayer
Father, we desire for you to get the glory out of our lives. Help us to live a life of complete obedience so that others may be drawn to your heart. In Jesus' name. Amen

I absolutely love this. And I am so glad that he did lay that out for us.
