Scripture

“Let’s hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, because the one who made the promises is reliable.” - Hebrews 10: 23

At times on this Christian journey we must to be reminded that God's promises are sure. We need to be assured of this, no matter what we face. Biblical hope is the confident expectation and trust that whatever God promised you, it will without a doubt come to fruition. It's not a feeling or a wish that we have, but it's our belief rooted in God's character and nature. While we're waiting on the promise, we should ask ourselves, "Has He failed me yet?" Most assuredly, the answer is no. If there's the slightest chance that you feel He has, would you consider that you had an expectation that was out of His will?

The scripture above admonishes us to hold on to hope without wavering. This scripture is not just a response to the difficulties in life, but to all aspects of life. All of our dreams, endeavors, relationships, ministry, etc., no doubt, God has spoken to all areas of our lives. In response to what He has spoken, we hold on to hope without doubting. We allow our hope to be rooted in the knowledge of His character and nature.

Beloved, be encouraged today that if God said it, He is faithful to perform it. Numbers 23:19 states that God is not a man that He should lie. Neither is He human that He should change His mind. Has He ever spoken and failed to act? Has He ever promised and not carried it through? I can quote many scriptures perpetuating this hope that we should hold fast to, but it is truly about your belief in them. Do you believe that God will work all things for your good? Do you believe He will make a way? Have you experienced His glorious nature that left you with a blessed assurance that the Father is reliable?

Prayer

Father, we trust you. We hold on to the confession of our hope without doubting in our hearts. We rejoice that your promises are yes and amen. We hold on to the fact that all things work together for our highest good. We praise you for the manifestation of the promises you've given us. You are a faithful God! Amen
