In Due Time

Scripture

“He said to them: ‘It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.’”-Acts 1:7

I don't know if anything tests my trust in God more than the seasons when He seems silent about the "why." I've walked through moments where I prayed for understanding, asked for clarity, and searched for answers, only to feel as though heaven had gone quiet on that particular question. If I'm honest, there have been times when I believed I could endure the season more easily if I just knew the reason for it. Yet I've learned that God's presence is often far more important than His explanations. When answers don't come, I am faced with a choice: trust what I know about His character or become consumed with what I don't understand.

Beloved, not every answer is meant for this moment. The Father sees the beginning and the end, while we see only the small portion of the path directly in front of us. His timing is governed by wisdom, not urgency. His silence is not abandonment, and His delay is not denial. There are truths He reveals immediately and others that unfold over months, years, and sometimes decades. The Lord, in His tenderness, reveals what is necessary when it is necessary. Until then, He invites us to rest in the certainty of who He is rather than in our ability to understand what He is doing. What feels hidden now is not hidden from Him.

Today, release your need to have every answer before taking the next step. Trust that God is faithfully guiding your life even when you cannot see the full picture. Let go of the timeline you've written for yourself and place your confidence in the One who holds time itself in His hands. The Spirit of Truth is not merely leading you to answers. He is leading you deeper into trust. Beloved, what God has not explained, He is asking you to entrust to Him. In due time, what needs to be revealed will be revealed.

Reflection Pause: Is there an unanswered question, difficult season, or delayed promise that you've been struggling to understand? What would it look like to trust God's character in that area instead of demanding an explanation?

Prayer Moment

Father, help me trust You when I don't understand what You're doing. Give me grace to surrender my timeline and rest in Your wisdom, knowing that You are leading me every step of the way. In Jesus' name, Amen.
