Beloved, a transformed mind is essential to a transformed life. Scripture tells us that we have been given Christ’s way of thinking, yet this reality only becomes visible when we surrender our old patterns, behaviors, and thought cycles. As we mature spiritually, we begin to understand why the old parts of us must die for the Word to be fulfilled. If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; old things pass away, and all things become new. If this is true, then our thinking cannot remain the same. The mind of Christ is not reserved for church moments or spiritual gatherings — it must permeate every area of life. Every situation we face must be approached with His mind, not our own.
I’ve learned this deeply in my own walk. The more I pursued the Father, the more I realized that having the mind of Christ is a divine enablement. Through the Holy Spirit, believers gain the ability to perceive God’s will in any situation. This mind becomes a disposition — a posture of humility, selflessness, grace, and obedience. It looks like showing love where we once showed irritation. It looks like saying yes when our flesh wants to say no, and saying no when something threatens our spiritual walk. It looks like walking in genuine care for humanity. You remember the phrase, “What would Jesus do?” It applies here. What would Jesus do as a teacher? As a doctor? As a parent? As a waitress? No matter your role, the mind of Christ shapes how you live, respond, and serve.
Beloved, cultivating the mind of Christ requires surrender. We must yield to the ministry of the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to transform our thinking, feeling, and discerning. Cultivation looks like intentionally shifting our minds from earthly distractions to kingdom principles. It looks like imitating Christ in our daily encounters, decisions, and challenges. When we adopt His mind, we begin to see ourselves and the world through the lens of Jesus — with clarity, compassion, and divine perspective. And as we surrender to this transformation, we step into spiritual maturity, deeper obedience, and the fullness of God’s purpose for our lives.
