Scripture
"Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!" -1 Chronicles 16:11
As you walk out your purpose in the Lord, it’s easy to become swept up in the busyness that comes with it. Whether His will leads you into full‑time ministry, business, a 9–5 job, or entrepreneurship, the demands of your assignment can quietly pull your focus if you’re not careful. We know that everything we do, we do unto Him—but accomplishing a great deal means nothing if it pulls us away from communion with the Father. We cannot lose sight of how essential it is to remain close to Him. Communion is where intimacy is cultivated, direction is received, and strength is renewed. As you consistently draw near to Him, you will find the endurance and spiritual power needed to live out your purpose. Staying connected to His presence is what equips you to carry out what He has called you to do.
Busyness can easily hide our need for stillness and divine connection. It becomes a subtle distraction that pulls our attention away from what truly matters. This is especially true for those serving in ministry. Because the work is God‑centered, it becomes tempting to replace time with the Lord for time spent working for the Lord. But daily prayer, scripture meditation, and quiet moments in His presence are essential. They provide the spiritual nourishment our souls depend on. They calm the stress and anxiety that come with life’s responsibilities. And most importantly, time in God’s presence gives us the capacity, strength, and clarity to carry those responsibilities well. Stillness isn’t wasted time—it’s where we are renewed.
Consistent communion with God keeps us aligned with His purposes. In those quiet moments, He reaffirms His plan and gives the instruction we need to carry it out. Dwelling in His presence equips us to face life’s challenges with wisdom and His strength. As your relationship with Him deepens, you stop viewing your calling as a burden and begin to see it as a privilege. So, Beloved, whatever work you are doing for the Lord, remember to make space for communion with the Father. In His presence, you will find the strength, endurance, and clarity needed to walk out your purpose with confidence.
Prayer
Father, we stop and turn our affections towards you in this moment. We bask in your presence and draw upon your strength and wisdom as we live out our purpose. In Jesus' name. Amen
