Scripture

Timothy, my dear son, live your life empowered by God's free flowing grace, which is your true strength, found in the anointing of Jesus and your union with HIm. -2 Timothy 2:5

We are going to need strength and endurance to fulfill the calling God has given us. There comes a time on our journey, where knowledge has been revealed about who we truly are in Christ, we've been delivered from things that plagued us, and we experience God in our union with Him. We've been growing, overcoming, and passing tests. God's put out the fires that rage in our lives, and we're beginning to experience victory in Christ.  So we ask, "What now, God?" We keep going, and we rely on His strength to do it. Paul encouraged Timothy to be strong as He continued fulfilling the call on his life.

As we work in the Kingdom and keep our hands on the plow, we must receive God's strength. His strength is always available to us, but it comes as we seek Him and rely on Him instead of our strength. It comes as we stoke the flames of our relationship with Him. We are not to sit passively and wait for strength to rain down on us. It comes as we're moving forward on our journey. Paul told Timothy to be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. This grace or divine empowerment is vital for the strength of our Christian life.

Beloved, be encouraged to keep going on your journey with the Lord. We've been healed, ok, keep going. We've been set free, ok, keep going. Our minds are renewed, ok, keep going. We've had new experiences with God, ok, keep going. He's admonishing us not to stall because we've experienced some victories in this season.  Continue fulfilling the call upon your life. As you trudge forward, receive His strength. His divine assistance will give you what you need to face every circumstance in your life. We don't have to fear; Jesus will give us the confidence and boldness necessary to overcome obstacles on this journey. His grace is made perfect in all of our weaknesses.

Prayer

Father, we receive your strength to move forward in this life. We give thanks for divine help as we navigate our Christian journey to fulfilling the call upon our lives, in Jesus' name. Amen
