Scripture
“As the Scriptures say, ‘Who can know what is on the Lord’s mind? Who is able to give him advice?’ But we have been given Christ’s way of thinking.”-1 Corinthians 2:16
The longer I walk with the Lord, the more I realize that spiritual maturity is not simply about changing what I do. It's about allowing God to transform how I think. Many of us desire the promises of God to be fulfilled in our lives while holding on to old patterns, old perspectives, and old ways of reasoning. Yet Scripture tells us that if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation. That means our thoughts can no longer remain rooted in who we once were. Whether we're navigating relationships, facing disappointments, making decisions, or responding to life's challenges, we are called to approach every situation through the lens of Christ rather than the limitations of our flesh.
Beloved, the mind of Christ is not something you achieve through human effort. It is a gift made available through the Holy Spirit. As you yield to Him, He teaches you to discern God's heart, respond with wisdom, and walk in humble obedience. Where the natural mind seeks self-preservation, the mind of Christ chooses surrender. Where the natural mind demands its own way, the mind of Christ extends grace. The Lord is gently inviting His people beyond surface-level Christianity into a deeper transformation that touches every thought, attitude, and motive. He is not merely interested in changing your behavior. He desires to renew your mind so thoroughly that you begin to see yourself, others, and every circumstance through His eyes.
Today, ask yourself not, "What do I want to do?" but, "What would Jesus do?" Whether you are a teacher, a business owner, a parent, a student, or a retiree, every role becomes an opportunity to reflect His thinking. Make room for the Holy Spirit to challenge old mindsets and establish Kingdom principles in their place. As you imitate Christ and follow His leading, you will discover that having the mind of Christ is not just about thinking differently. It is about living differently. Let His thoughts shape your responses, His wisdom guide your decisions, and His love influence every interaction.
Reflection Pause: Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any thought, attitude, or perspective that needs to be renewed. How might your response change if you chose to see the situation through the eyes of Christ?
Prayer Moment
Father, thank You for giving us access to the mind of Christ through Your Holy Spirit. Transform our thinking and help us surrender every mindset that does not align with Your truth. Teach us to see ourselves, others, and our circumstances through Your eyes. May our thoughts, attitudes, and decisions reflect the character of Jesus in every area of our lives. In Jesus' name, Amen.
