Scripture
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for Us?' And I said, 'Here am I. Send me!'" — Isaiah 6:8
There have been seasons in my life when I felt the stirring of God's invitation but hesitated because I could see all the reasons I wasn't ready. I noticed my weaknesses more than His strength and my shortcomings more than His grace. I thought availability required having everything in order first, as though God was waiting for a perfected version of me before He could use me. Yet the more I walked with Him, the more I realized that God has never asked me to bring perfection to His presence. He simply asks me to bring my willing heart. Isaiah's response was not born from self-confidence but from an encounter with the Lord. Standing in God's presence changed his perspective and produced a surrendered yes.
Beloved, the Father is not intimidated by your fears, insecurities, unanswered questions, or unfinished places. He already sees every area that still needs His healing touch, yet He continues to call your name. The Lord has never based His calling on your qualifications. He has always based it on His faithfulness. The same God who calls you is the God who equips you. The same God who sends you is the God who walks with you. If He is inviting you into something beyond your comfort zone, it is not because He expects you to be sufficient on your own. It is because He intends to reveal His sufficiency through your surrendered obedience. His grace will meet you in every place where you feel inadequate.
So what is your response to His invitation today? Can you trust Him enough to offer your yes before you understand every detail? Can you surrender your plans, your timelines, and your need to feel fully prepared? The Lord is still asking, "Whom shall I send?" and He delights in the heart that responds, "Here am I." Your yes is not a promise that you have everything together. It is a declaration that you trust the One who does. As you continue walking with Him, He will transform, refine, and strengthen you for every assignment He has prepared. Let availability become greater than hesitation, and let surrender become the posture of your heart.
Reflection Pause: Is there an area of your life where you have been waiting to feel qualified before obeying God? What would it look like if you trusted Him with your yes today and allowed Him to supply everything needed along the way?
Prayer Moment
Father, give me a willing and surrendered heart that trusts You more than my fears. Help me to respond to Your voice with an obedient yes, knowing You will equip me for all You've called me to do. In Jesus' name, Amen.
