Scripture
"Seek the LORD and His strength; seek His face continually." -I Chronicles 16:11
Years ago, when I said yes to the Lord and meant it from my heart, my life began to transform. I want to describe what took place in my Christian life as I drew closer to God and His heart.
Transformed: There was a transformation in my heart and my mind. (Romans 12:2 and Ezekiel 36:26-27). God had begun to transform my thinking about myself, people, and most importantly, about Him. He made my heart tender towards Him. It responded to Him in obedience and submission.
Spiritual Growth: The scriptures were opening up to me like never before. He had given me knowledge and understanding(revelation) of His word (II Timothy 2:15). He showed me how to apply the knowledge to my life. He endowed me with the spirit of wisdom to make the right decisions in my life that aligned with His will. (Isaiah 11:2)
Prayer Life: My prayer life was set ablaze. I fell in love with prayer because I realized that the more I prayed, the closer He and I became. The more consistent I was in prayer, the more He trusted me. He began to trust me with His mysteries and what was in His heart for His people. He showed me His perspective of everything as I prayed. In prayer, the supernatural opened up to me through the Holy Spirit. I have visions and encounters with the Lord in my prayers. (1 Tim. 2:1; Ephesians 6:18; I Thess. 5:16-18; Matt. 6:10; 1 John 5:14-16).
Kingdom Perspective: Jesus declared, "Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand.(Matt. 3:2;4:17). The Holy Spirit began to help me understand who I truly am through those encounters. I received the revelation of my position with God. I began to see every situation from a Kingdom perspective. He showed me what was available in the Kingdom: goodness, virtue, grace, healing, prosperity, righteousness, might, and endurance. Things such as lack, poverty, afflictions, infirmities, oppression, depression, and anxiety are all trespassers in the lives of the people of God. He endowed me with His authority and power to live victoriously in this life. (Luke 10:19). I can speak and release my faith on any situation and have total confidence that it will line up with the Kingdom.
Precious Fruit: (James 5:7) Finally, I began to see that it was not all about me. God was inviting me to be a part of something bigger. It was His plan of redemption for all humanity. The plan to save humanity and reconcile us to God's heart was created before the foundation of the world. Now that we have access, people need to know. I am commissioned to gather precious fruit for the Kingdom of God. (Matt 28:16-20). He gave me a heart and love for His people to see them set free. (Luke 4:18)
Beloved, God loves us all. Don't get stuck in your process, know that He's working out an exceeding and eternal weight of glory in you.
