Scripture
“Let’s hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, because the one who made the promise is reliable.” - Hebrews 10: 23
There are moments on this Christian journey when our hearts need to be gently reminded—not simply that God’s promises are sure, but that Jesus Himself is our assurance. Our hope is not rooted in vague outcomes or distant expectations; it is anchored in the living Christ who has never failed us. Biblical hope is the confident trust that Jesus will be exactly who He says He is—faithful, present, and sovereign over every detail of our lives. Hope is not a feeling we muster or a wish we whisper. It is the steady belief that flows from Jesus’ character—His goodness, His nearness, His unchanging love. And while we wait for what He has spoken, we ask ourselves: Has Jesus ever failed me? The answer, with quiet certainty, is no. And if there is even a small part of your heart that wonders otherwise, consider whether the expectation you carried was shaped more by your own desire than His will.
Reflection Pause: Where is Jesus inviting you to trust His heart more deeply in this season?
The Scripture calls us to hold fast to hope without wavering, not only in seasons of hardship but in every part of our lives. Every dream, every calling, every relationship, every assignment—Jesus has spoken over them all. Our hope is not anchored in outcomes or timelines, but in the faithful heart of Christ Himself. We cling to hope because we know who He is. His character is steady. His nature is trustworthy. His word is sure. And as we respond to what Jesus has spoken, we allow our hope to rest—not in our understanding, but in His unfailing goodness.
Reflection Pause: Where is Jesus inviting you to hold fast to hope because He is faithful?
Beloved, take heart today—if Jesus has spoken it, He is faithful to bring it to pass. Scripture reminds us that He is not like man that He should lie, nor like humanity that He should change His mind. Every word He has ever spoken has been steady, true, and upheld by His perfect nature. Has Jesus ever acted and failed to complete His work? Has He ever promised and not carried it through? We can point to countless verses that call us to hold fast to hope, but ultimately it rests on this: Do you believe Him? Do you believe Jesus will work all things for your good? Do you believe He will make a way where there seems to be none? Have you encountered His glorious, trustworthy nature in a way that left you with a blessed assurance that your Savior is reliable and unwavering?
Prayer Moment
Father, we trust You. Strengthen our hope as we hold fast to Your faithfulness, rejoicing that every promise in Jesus is yes and amen. Amen.
